verses on Friendship

Posted in Uncategorized at 8:28 pm by alexis

A friend loves at all times, and a brother is born for adversity. Proverbs 17:17

A man who has friends must himself be friendly, But there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother. Proverbs 18:24

He who covers over an offense promotes love, but whoever repeats the matter separates close friends. Proverbs 17:9

Hatred stirs up strife, But love covers all sins. Proverbs 10:12

its the end of the year… that means time to sign yearbooks…

i really realized the past few days while doing this, how blessed i’ve been with great friends. some are going off to college next fall & i will miss them all dearly. it seems as if our time together was too short. there is so much i want to say to them before they go.

the ones that are staying, i am making a priority to spend time with before we go our separate ways…

some other verses that made an impression on me:

this verse i left for liz… it reminded me of her, she’s amazing :)

27 Do not withhold good from those who deserve it, when it is in your power to act.

28 Do not say to your neighbor, “Come back later; I’ll give it tomorrow”– when you now have it with you.

29 Do not plot harm against your neighbor, who lives trustfully near you.

30 Do not accuse a man for no reason– when he has done you no harm.

31 Do not envy a violent man or choose any of his ways,

32 for the Lord detests a perverse man but takes the upright into his confidence.

33 The Lord’s curse is on the house of the wicked, but he blesses the home of the righteous.

34 He mocks proud mockers but gives grace to the humble.

35 The wise inherit honor, but fools he holds up to shame.     Proverbs 3:27-35

 this one carina showed me:

Lord make me know my end, and what is the measure of my days, that i may know how frail i am.   Psalms 39:4

Here are a few interior pictures of Aunt Judy’s Amazing House…

 Looking in…looking in

The Ballroom, just imagine a pit orchestra playing songs from Phantom of the Opera.the ballroom

This is where we watched movies and painted our toenails.

We all ate Aunt Judy’s Geniune Italian Speghetti and Home Made Meatballs in this gorgeous room.

The Dining Room

Isn’t it pretty? I can almost taste the fresh bagels and mini chocolate cake desserts.

The Kitchen

So there it is, did i mention that almost every room has a fireplace?

Maybe Emily is Right…

You Are 27 Years Old

Under 12: You are a kid at heart. You still have an optimistic life view – and you look at the world with awe.
13-19: You are a teenager at heart. You question authority and are still trying to find your place in this world.

20-29: You are a twentysomething at heart. You feel excited about what’s to come… love, work, and new experiences.

30-39: You are a thirtysomething at heart. You’ve had a taste of success and true love, but you want more!

40+: You are a mature adult. You’ve been through most of the ups and downs of life already. Now you get to sit back and relax.

What Age Do You Act?

she always tells me i act “so mature”

Today should be a good day. Right now i’m listening to my sister upstairs sing songs about her cat, scream about this bug on her blanket(yet she stays in bed) and repeat stewie quotes from family guy; she’s almost 15. Oh and she said “good morning lexi” to me too, that’s a good sign.

Soon i will be picking up alex martin’s brothers ( she spent the night& is just coming downstairs with emily) to pick stones for my dad until 12:00.
At 1:00 is Vision… i’m really looking forward it since i’ve never been before.

Last night our Key Club sponsored a K-6 movie night. The turn out was small, but we still made about the same as last time we hosted one. We’ll probably have between $50 and $60 to donate Jumpstart Reading. Here area few pictures…

hey everyone…

despite my lack of posts, there’s been a lot of stuff going on in my life lately. and it shows.
i just finished packing for Long Island this weekend :D Carina and i are meeting Jason somewhere in NJ or near NYC then we’re driving to aunt Judy’s. I’m so pumped!! Finally a Real Vacation. Nous allons reste chez tante Judy depuis mardi :) Five days of sleeping in, long walks along the beach, and of course a trip or two to the city! I’m really excited. unfortunately my body isn’t quite as excited as i am. i seem to have contracted some sort of throat cold which is draining my energy.. perfect timing right:P
Well today, (my last day of work until next week) myself and 5 classmates went to a luncheon at the ELks Club in Potsdam. It was some sort of “Youth Recognition Day.” It was pretty cool, we got out of school at 11:00.. well maybe more like 11:15 since our guidance counselor was running late, then we got a free lunch(not to mention free cheesecake from scoopachinos) and a really important looking plaque. Mine has inscribed “Outstanding Performance in Art” along with my name and some other frivolous engravings. i felt so important.. we even got our pictures taken. It’s kind of ironic that i received an award for this seeing how i’m very behind in my art assignments:P

Last weekend was the CFA production, High Button SHoes. That was alot of fun. It makes me miss my own musical. Everyone was <b>amazing>/b>. i really sorta wish now i had gotten to see the whole thing from the audiences p.o.v. ahh well, it felt nice to help out & get to see everyone backstage. My favorite part was most definetly helping everyone with their make up :) I only wish i had jumped on board sooner.

Last Sunday Carina and i dropped by the Daniels’ BBQ. We played volley ball and soccer, then lounged on their patio… it was so nice to be outdoors in the sun, and to spend some time with friends i hadn’t seen in a while :)

It’s so beautiful outside… it makes me feel all warm and good inside. When i look at everything that’s spring, i can’t help but think how much i love Jesus.
